Bay Language Institute, a family-owned and managed language school in South Africa, offered language and TEFL teacher training courses to South African and foreign students for more than 16 years. The school was accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations and registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training in 2018.
Since Covid, bli has moved its presence largely online, and is currently offering virtual courses mainly to South African and German clients. It maintains quality through regular observation, with developmental feedback, of teachers and trainee teachers in their online classes.
bli has run 100% physical, in-class TEFL teacher training courses for more than 10 years, and intends to restart these once the situation and
infrastructural development in South Africa permits. In the interim, we continue to focus on producing well-trained, effective English teachers who can cope in a multi-cultural
environment in our live online TEFL courses.
